Hello!
My family and I (Rabbit's (Friends and) Relations) are making a trip
from Poughkeepsie to Cleveland, Ohio at the end of the month to attend
a function on Sunday. We plan to go out on Friday (and that all day
drive with four kids won't be a picnic!) and are meeting old friends
from Ann Arbor in Cleveland. I'd like some advice on a park we can
spend the day at on Saturday - picnic tables, playground, ideally a
letterbox or two... ?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! (the kids range in age from
three to ten - our four are avid hikers, but our friends' are more the
ambling type...)

How about Allegany State Park? Six hours from Poughkeepsie on the
Southern Tier Expy.
Nearby is "Weekend Getaway" - fits the bill?

there are a couple of boxes in Huntington Park directions see clues
for NE Ohio I-90, SR 252 north to Lake Rd, west to park 2-3
miles, there is a beach, picnic area, interpretive center,
planetarium, ice cream, or try the Cleveland Metro Park, I-71 exit
Columbia Rd SR 252, e on Country Club to old Columbia RD, south/right
to Lewis Road, left on Lewis (east), left on Valley Parkway, to Rocky
River interpretive center, there are a few nearby boxes, or Cuyhoga
Valley National Recreation Area= I 480 to I-77 south, exit route 21
or brecksville rd, better google or check map after that, there are
boxes at Canal Park, but there has been recent flooding, should be ok
by now. happy trails bayboxer
